We launched a new brand called “FIDO.” FIDO means trust. It is based on “Fiducia” in Italy. FIDO expresses the trust we hold between our company and our customers, and with a designer, Mr. Shuhei Tominaga. We are hoping to create strong ties, based on mutual understanding, trust and harmony, with all the people that are related to us. We promise to continue creating innovative products.

Wooden Country : Japanese Living Tool Brand 「FIDO」

Japanese people have lived together with wood and have assimilated wood into our daily life for a very long time. We have benefited greatly through the use of wood, we have lived in wooden houses, plowed a field with wooden tillers, built Hinoki bath tubs and used wooden cutlery.

There are many sources of sustainable wood in Japan, due to the fact that 70% of the country is covered by forests. We believe that this important resource will help our global environment and that now is the time to spread the message of sustainability.

FIDO is our brand and we urge the sustainability of wood through making wood efficiently and using wood responsibly. We aim to encourage “a life with wood” through the creation of wooden products. We hope that we can keep our forests healthy for years to come.

Design

Wood has good workability therefore it is able to make diverse designs. The FIDO series is themed on “Line and Face” and most of the FIDO products have artistic designs. An aesthetic appeal of the products are dependent on how to cut and make the shape from wood, and how to use the technology to process and finish the products. The beautiful form makes our lifestyle more enriched.
